Vedam crafts a wonderful story about the power of witchcraft and love with Baron of Dragon's Reach. Set in a historical fantasy world, the love story of Princess Elena and Lord Giles is one that will resonate with readers. The story opens with Princess Elena's father telling her that her betrothed, Lord Giles is on his way to marry her.  Elena is worried.  One year ago, she met a minstrel in the nearby forest and she made love to him, giving him her body and soul. Now that Lord Giles is coming, Elena and her maid, Anna seek out a witch to hide the loss of her virginity.  They find a witch's apprentice, Smedley, who helps them cast a spell, only the spell makes Elena invisible.  When Elena, still invisible, finds her cousin, Camilla, trying to entertain Lord Giles, Elena realizes that things aren't what they seem.  Can Lord Giles forgive Elena her indiscretion a year ago? Only faith in love has the answer.

This is the second rosette I've read from Vedam and I enjoy her storytelling.  The story flowed smoothly.  Baron of Dragon's Reach engaged me immediately and I couldn't put it down.  Vedam's descriptions were perfect! I could easily picture the setting and background.  Vedam blended history and fantasy effortlessly. All the characters were well rounded and interesting.  I especially liked Elena who showed great vulnerability and strength.   Baron of Dragon's Reach is "sensual" for CRR readers with tender caresses and kisses.  A magical story of the power of love!
