Aidan is a red-haired kitchen witch with temper to match who has just come into her powers at the age of thirty. She prefers to be alone in life to avoid having to explain any possible awkward moments that could arise because of her magical abilities. She loves the joys of cooking and dreams of becoming a world famous chef, if only she could actually cook something palatable.

Matteus, the skills assessor from the Institute of Magical Instruction, has come to evaluate Aidan’s control over her powers. He has always been an expert in controlling his emotions and prides himself in his magical abilities.

What should be a simple skills assessment job for Matteus and an uncomplicated road for Aidan to get her magical license is anything but. Things start to heat up between the two, and soon there is a lot more cooking in the kitchen than Aidan’s attempts at a five star dinner. Will Aidan harness her magic and take a chance with Matteus, or will she give up her powers and give up on love for good?

Review

I knew the moment I read the blurb for Foodies Guide to Kitchen Magic I was in for a treat. I just love novels featuring chefs or similar, and when you throw in a bit of magic and a handsome hero, well that makes it automatically a keeper for me. Let me make a small note and say to heed this author’s warning at the beginning of the story. Reading this scrumptious tale can easily throw off a diet and had me wanting to head to the nearest bakery available. Sandra Sokoo does an enchanting job. The chemistry between Aidan and Matteus had sparks flying, almost literally. This is a delicious read I recommend to foodies and romance readers alike.
