Just finished this, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a delight to accompany me on the commute (3 Cds after download). Are Eve and Julio destined to be together or are the honeyed words of this Fascist policeman just to elicit information about Eve’s missing brother and the dubious affiliations of her neighbours? 1930s Rhodes is no idyllic place to live under an imposed Italian dictatorship, and the frisson of new love and deadly danger ripple through the story.
